Such a great and awesome experience at the Dreams Onyx !!!! My congratulations to all the staff !! You were extremely friendly and nice to me and my family. A special recognition for our butler Francisco Cedeno who was the main person responsible to make us feel highly enjoyable and satisfied.. Our most sincerely gratitude to him and the rest of the team and this is not a good bye but a see you next!!! For sure ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻🙏🏻🥰

Oct 01, 2023Nice resort but needs upgrade - staff was great!
This was our first trip to Dreams Onyx. The hotel is dated but very clean. Rooms are functional but the design is odd. For example, there's a desk right in front of the sliding glass door making it a challenge to enter/exit. The showers are one person sized, not for couples, and leaked into the water closet, causing rusty areas. We were in a Preffered Private Pool room which was great! We loved having that and still being steps from the adult only pool. Having an adult only area was a definite perk and one of the reasons we chose this resort. Waterpark was fun - spent many days floating in the lazy river. Our Butler, Juanito, was amazing! Made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel special. He is 5 star! The resort doesn't enforce the use of personal speakers although we all signed the paper at check in. People's choice of music at a family resort was shocking. Outside of the lyrics, having multiple speakers around you playing different music was irritating. The beach and ocean were very clean, tractors cleaning the seaweed several times a day. The food at the buffet was extremely disappointing. Not many choices and frankly not good at all. Same for room service food. Restaurants (Capers and Bluewater) were very good but crowded. Carlito welcomed us upon arrival and was very attentive and friendly. Giovanna and Rosaura were our housekeepers who were so nice and our room was always fresh. Ismael and Javier at the adult pool were attentive and fun! Front lobby preffered area bartender (sorry I forget his name) was awesome!!

Elias the king of Dreams Onyx
Elias was a great butler! Ask for him he will make your stay so much better. He set up our reservations to the restaurants every night. Checked on our group of 10 multiple times a day. He needs a raise!

Dreams Onyx Dominican Republic!!
Elias by far made our experience top notch! We spent 5 nights and he flawlessly executed dinner for 10 all nights, transportation to and from sister resorts. The trip was excellente!! We can’t wait to get back!

Love Dreams Onyx Resort!
Elias is BY FAR THE BEST! We had him last year and were lucky enough to have him as our butler this year as well. He is always so polite and remembers us by name. He went above & beyond for us and truly made our trip a memorable one! When we come back next year we will definitely request him by name! Javier was also really great too!
