Sep 30, 2023Such a shame....... Get me outta here!!!
I'm currently Sat on my balcony at this hotel on a Saturday afternoon avoiding the mass chaos at the pool, beach, the bar and the restaurants!!! The weekends are horrendous!! The hotel opens its doors to all the locals at the weekend. I have been to a few hotels in the carribean that also do this Cuba, Mexico and Jamaica and never had a problem..... its actually a nice thing that the locals have the opportunity to use the facilities. BUT the dominican people, have truly let this place down. They have no respect for anyone, rude, arrogant and unfortunately the staff seem to accommodate the locals not equally to all other guests, but well above them...... which leaves an extremely bitter taste when all you want is the basics of a odd drink at the bar and some food without physically fighting your way to it! I am not one to usually complain, i try to take the goods from any place i visit. I am fully aware that most 5* hotels in places like the Dominican will only be to a standard of a decent 3* in the UK. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy even though well worn and in need of a refurb. The food is okay and plenty of choice, you will always find something to eat. When not on a weekend the pool is lovely and big, and its great having a bar in the pool. The beach does let this hotel down, it's not a clear blue sea like you expect, its quite a dirty brown/green and its full of jellyfish. You will get stung at some point if you do like going in the sea. The lifeguard is on hand with his bottle of vinegar. All in all, i would love to say i would come back to this resort again but i wont, basically due to losing 5 days of my holiday avoiding the mass mayhem on a weekend. And unfortunately i will never come back to the Dominican again as it is the people of the dominican that ruined it for me. Politeness and good manors from staff and locals would massively improve this hotel, but unfortunately its never going to happen. I even tip everytime i get served and it still doesnt improve the service. This is an honest review from someone who is usually easily pleased. I honestly cant wait to get on the plane!!

Thanks but no thanks
The Hotel is a 3 star at best if you are not from Dominican Republic you are treated as a lessor class not served at the bar and not listens to when ordering food and drink. The entertainment is what you expect at at a lover level hotel and be prepared to be pushed In To doing activities with a bully signup do this do that attitude . When we booked the holiday we where sold the dream of a 5 star dream holiday when in fact you have to pay an extra premium when you land to get a 4 -* at best . Do not go hear on the weekend if you are from the UK !!! The locals are very aggressive and the hotel accommodates them more than us. The holiday makers there is one uk Chanel on the tv and the electric key card is as much use as a chocolate fire guard you need to reset the key twice daily ! Not what you expect from a so called 5 star hotel if you don’t upgrade you are best stoping at home !!

I would personally highly recommend this hotel . The hotel is outstandably clean , the staff work so hard day and night there is nothing they won't help you with. Everyone that works here are such lovely people. Excellent atmosphere , pool is amazing, beach is literally right by pool which is clean and tidy., amazing views . Sunbeds always available . Room is cleaned everyday, in every room there is a decent hair dryer , iron , ironing board, body wash , shampoo and conditioner. coffee , little mini fridge whatever you use will be replaced the following day. Cleaners are amazing at there job . Air con spot on . Great selection of food . There is a restaurant open 10 til 6 daily by the pool. Last night here and can't fault anything 5* best holiday ever .

Fab holiday
Hi all this is our 11th night off a 14 night holiday. We're on honeymoon at this amazing hotel 1st of all I need to mention isael sabino this is unbelievable youg man he has helped us so much with any issues we have come across he's absolutes assets to the company. Also need to mention the beach restaurant there are 2 waiting staff who really make us feel very special their names are Ronnie de la Rosa, Miguel garsia they prepare a lovely table for our lunch other staff are very good too The animation teem work hard on a daily basis and entertain kids all day I'd like to mention everlene (queenie) she get every one to join in the activities in the day and night. The pool bar staff are very hard working especially Lewis working on the swin up bar food is excellent something for everybody would I visit this hotel ill be back Jan and Paul James room 2710 junior ocean front amazing view

Great resort
We stayed in September 2023 and had the best time. The accommodation was large with a big bathroom and the aircon worked fine. The buffet was excellent with loads of choice for all meals. One of the best buffet restaurants we have stayed at. They have 3 gourmet restaurants that you can dine at and all 3 we would highly recommend. Pool area was great with plenty of beds and no need to reserve them. Special mention to the entertainment team who worked so hard all day from 10am to 10pm. The nighttime shows from 9.00pm were very good. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
