    Wonderful

Everything was wonderful, from the pool to the entertainment to the people who work there. I would recommend checking in online before you arrive at the hotel l on their app. That is a lengthy process. And try to get a room closer to the pool.. enjoy!

    Catastrophic!

Our family was separated in two different hotels during check-in due to capacity problems but at the same time we were not allowed to visit each other hotels (!?) Grand Turquesa is not 5 stars by European standard, maybe 3,5.

    Vacation 2023

Great location but the hotel needs to be renovated. Also our room was infected with mosquitoes and flies and took 3 days to be switched. But animation team can get you in the mood for a good day and everything was fine Joselito and Laddy are the best.Great program and show. The food was good but same things over and over and they ran out of yogurt for 4 days, they don't have enough food to refill it consistently.Miguelina in the buffet is an extremely hard worker and very happy to serve you. Also the server by the pool Yaina is a hard worker with big heart and smile. She took really good care for my family and especially for my son.Thank you for the great vacation Gran Bahia Principe Turquesa

    Great hotel, staff and service

The hotel is close to airport (about 25 minutes), it's clean and has great restaurants. The room they gave us was clean and spacious. Beds are pretty comfortable and room has good air conditioning. The food at the restaurants is very good there is always a variety. Drinks at the lobby and pool are awesome especially the Margaritas. Look for Ruperto and Rodolfo at the Lobby Bar and Pool Bar they treat you like kings and queens, great smiles, very friendly, responsible and respectful. Yaina and Laidy at the restaurants give the best service always with a big smile and happy to help. Props to them and their hard word. I will definitely return.

    Good—not great

Overall, I want to say Grand Turquesa is a good resort. Most of the people working here are very nice. The grounds are well maintained. The room was clean. However, the AC was NOT good. I’d say the room temperature with the AC and fan on is probably about 78 degrees. That may be cool for some, but not for us. The refrigerator kept things cool, but not cold. We could not get bottles of water in the resort or in our room. We had 2 the first day and the cleaning staff never replaced them. We asked the hotel’s bars for a bottle of water and they said they do not have them—you can only get glasses of water. Many people brought cups from home and filled them at the water stations, I wish we knew to do that. They also used those cups at the bar for larger sized drinks. That was another good idea that we missed. Also, some workers did not seem to like Americans—even after we tipped them. We are not Spanish speakers and we 10000% understand that we are the ones on the outside because of a language barrier. But, we were always polite and did our best to communicate properly. It did not always seem to be reciprocated especially by the one worker at the pool bar. Rodolfo and Ruperto were great though. Erisson needs to change his attitude some. The mosquito issue some people talk about only plagued us at check in believe it or not. I got a few bites there, but that was it. But, we did bring bug spray so maybe that also helped. The food is ok if you do not have picky eaters. Some of the food is seasoned perfectly. Some items have pretty much no seasoning on it at all. With all the Spanish speakers here that were guests, I was hoping the food would be very flavorful. We did the Garden Grill “steakhouse”. The only steak on it was the $85 tomahawk steak. There was no other steak on the menu. The food was fine. The service by the support staff was great. The head server was nonexistent. We were told this was the best place to eat besides the Italian place. If Garden Grill is the best, I’d be afraid to see the other specialty dining options. We did take the shuttle to the beach. It was not not crowded and you could easily get a seat The shuttles are constantly running so there is not a long wait time. If you are on a budget, this is a good option. But, the AC issues, as other people have reviewed, are there. The food taste issues are also there. But, you can do a lot worse.
