Great Resort, Ryal side is adult only and very quiet and relaxing, I like how you can visit the family side, there is a language barrier very little english spoken. the food is good they need more american optionns. check in took over 45 of me standing there while 3 people checked in a group of 8 people that 2 people could of done. Wifi didnt work in room had to use phone while I came to the main buldings for Food. The Beach had too much seawood could not enjoy

We had a fantastic time at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro adults only resort, the staff were all lovely and specially Dominica who looked after us each morning and lunch time, she is a real credit to the hotel along with wonderful Martha who was always ready with a smile and lovely greeting in the mornings and at lunchtime, going out of her way to come and see us, she is another wonderful star person. Ashley at the pool bar was always so lovely and spoilt us all, around the pool and at the pool bar. The staff who looked after our room were wonderful and so happy to say hello each day. The fitness guys were great each day with different activities in the pool which always seemed to have a list of guests waiting to sign up. I hope the senior management realise how wonderful their staff are as they made our holiday wonderful and look forward to seeing them all soon 😊

Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel, service, location and variety of food. We were staying in a privileged section. Absolutely shout out to the ladies that were cleaning our room, it was always spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Well, room service at night would take over 2 hours if they even showed up at all. Waited on ice numerous times and always two or more hours. A few times they never showed up. No hot water on a few days. Sink was clogged, the toilet downstairs broke and wouldnt flush, the door lock quit working and had to be replaced. Service was bad this time especially at the beach and pool. We have old friends there and they took care of us as they always have. The thallaso , bo, and piano bar staff is wonderful. Gladys, jose, and jeison all need a large raise!!! they were wonderful. Beach has gone downhill, brown and lots of seaweed. It used to not be like that. Also maintenance took forever to come, waited half day to get some of this stuff fixed.

I do not recommend to stay here rooms are run down with cockroaches all alacartes food under cooked or meats full of fat the only place we enjoy was the steak house on the family side pool needs a full refurbishment broken tiles all round not clean chunks missing on pool floor no proper cocktail glasses served around the pool never had this before awful sewarge smell all around resort entertainment non existent a lot of waiters don’t speak English so was hard work trying to get a drink a lot of Spanish here who seem to get preference hardly any English so I wouldn’t bother if from uk we would definitely not return here been to Dominican many times this was probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed definitely not 4/5 star
