STUDENT/YOUTH GROUP POLICY - In order to maintain a family oriented environment, Iberostar Hotels and Resorts will be implementing a policy at student/youth groups. Students/youth All student/youth groups must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Upon check-in, each group will be required to make a refundable cash deposit of USD $200.00 per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay. In the event that any member(s) from the group engage in inappropriate behavior disrespecting Hotel Staff and/or other guest or causing physical damages to facilities, the hotel management reserves the right to expel the entire group without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.

Hi everyone, we stayed at this hotel at the end of may 2023. The temperature and the food were top noch. The hotel is moreless 15 years old but very well maintain. The beach was very clean, some sea weeds but all beaches have them. The rooms were also very clean and there was a lot of food at the buffet. We appreciated the italian restaurant the most because of the food and staff but especially because it is a buffet during the day. Very convenient because it is close to the beach. The staff at the entire place were very friendly. Special thanks to Perla, Adam, Dawiil and Elizabeth. We have been treated like king and queen since we are members of the Iberostar Club. But even if you are not, you will feel very welcome at the resort. The thing missing is a steak house (Ha!Ha!) We are plannig to go back next year. If I would have to rate the resort, It would be 5 stars Norman and Carmen

This is a wonderful place! The service is excellent and Santos at the buffet is a very sweet and kind person. The pool is huge but it is on the deeper end. It’s shoulder length (I’m 5’5). There is a huge variety of food, and there are many options for vegetarians and pescatarians. The resort is on the smaller end and the beach has quite a bit of seaweed on the bottom.

Fifth time - loyal guests
Fifth time at this resort, feels like we’re coming home! Our main reason in returning to this resort is that it is a small resort (which helps when travelling with my elderly mother); the service is excellent and the staff remembers us. Thank you Peter for the quick check-in! Our rooms (building 2 and building 3) were on the ground floor, pool view – both a great location! The rooms were always kept clean – we were spoiled with the towel decorations left by our cleaning ladies. The cleaning ladies are fabulous, very friendly, always greeted us with a huge smile. They are led by Milagro (who went above and beyond for my mom – ensuring that she would be comfortable and safe). Milagro: tienes un equipo fantástico – gracias a ti, y a Luisa, Yesenia, Araceli y Francisca! Meals: Once again, we kept to the El Mercado (the main buffet restaurant) for breakfast and dinner as there is a wide variety and selection of food. Muchas gracias en particular a Generoso por el excelente servicio que nos has dado. The (head?) chef Isabel went around every day asking how everything was. Gracias a Pedro por sus deliciosas tortillas y gracias a Charlie por sus “steaks”. Lunchtime buffet (Restaurante Tropical (near the pool/beach)). We don’t know if it’s due to the season, or new management, but we found the service a little lacking here; Danery and Carlos were wonderful the days they were at the lunch buffet. Muchas gracias a Danery y Carlos! El servicio no es el mismo cuando no están. I have the same comment for the patio bar – the service was a little lacking. Beach/Pool: not crowded and no seaweed, a few waves. After lunch, it is windy and little less comfortable; I recommend going in the morning. No trouble in finding shade, either at the beach nor by the pool. The pool is kept clean. The staff: what can I say, they are friendly, courteous and efficient. Being regular guests and engaging with the staff enables us to receive wonderful service (don’t even have to tell them what we want to eat or drink). Please take the time to speak to them. They are really kind and hard working. Don’t forget to tip (even if it says “all inclusive”, tips are really not included. What are a few extra dollars to thank them for their service. It goes a long way. Remember: you do tip at home, don’t you?) Mención especial y gracias a: Milagro: Luisa, Yesenia, Araceli y Francisca! Una persona tan maravillosa (tuve una reacción alérgica y se ofreció a ir a la farmacia por mí). Would we return here? Definitely! Service was excellent – my mom was treated like a queen – I have nothing negative to say. Gracias al hotel – el servicio es excelente, sus empleados son numéro uno – you should be very proud.

If 0 star was an option i would give to them....Don't wasted your time or your money.. me and my family waited 4 hours to get our rooms with 2 small kids.The refrigerator in our room was not working at all. All my breast milk went bad. Food for kids the worst. No fries. Literality the worst experience.

Puerto Plata - a little taste of heaven
Huge shout out to the staff who always welcomed us with a smile and excellent service. From Pablo (fondly referred to as the "Omelette Man", to Yubecky, Nikouri, Casimira, Tulse, Santiago, Tulse, Leidy, Yiselle - who reflect the warmth and generous spirit of the Dominicans. The hotel was very well maintained and quality of food and drinks served made for an awesome vacation. Close proximity to the town, mountain and visit to the rum factory
