Aug 29, 2023Lopesan ! Lopesan ! Best solo trip.
This was my first solo trip and I must say I pick the best resort to enjoy for my bday trip . The resort is huge that u can get lost i did lol lol. Everyone was so friendly and the hotel is great . Willy,Mariana,Pedro from caribe buffet was so friendly and welcoming. Narda,Awilka . Big shout out to Erickson Inoa my own butler for my private bday dinner was the best love this guy his manners and helpfulness was epic . Margarine from the spa great massage girl . Aderly Sofrayde from the steak restaurant phenomenal they were all amazing in wat they do in serving guest . Keep up the great work guys they was like 4 others I can't remember their names but they were great . The room is so relaxing and the entertaiment was fantastic . The food was great but at one point I had a day with a stomach virus but overcome it. I enjoyed my trip overall first time to the resort but not the last . I will be back soon. Much love to the servers and hope to see them again . Oh and the housekeeper she was such a nice lady missed her name. Lopesan is the resort to definitely to visit .

Enjoyed the vacation . Very well treated. Food good. I can't complain. I enjoyed swimming. Nice swimming pool. Enjoyed music too as well as the game played during entertainment. Beautiful environment Howz weather

Aug 28, 2023Poor Customer Service and Bad Quality Drinks
We stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro for 3 nights, 4 days (Thursday-Sunday, August 2023). Hotel installations are really nice and well maintained and there are a lot of things to do specially if you are traveling with kids. However, service was very poor in every place at the hotel, personnel do not make you feel they care about you. Most of them looked unprofessional and with no intension to make your stay pleasant. Food wasn’t great, specially at buffets, and restaurants aren’t remarcable neither, waiting time is too long to be seated (even with reservations made) and even longer to be served. Drinks aren’t premium at all, and we were expecting so (as this is a more than 400us per night hotel) we observed that bars changed quality of bottles Saturday and Sunday, meaning that if you are staying weekdays you wouldn’t drink anything good (very unfair and ridiculous). I wouldn’t recommend this place, as i have experienced wonderful stays in other all inclusive resorts at the Dominican Republic, and definitely this isn’t making justice of service and hospitality i have seen in DR.

This resort is the worst we got barely any service when it came to drinks and food. One of which we just left after waiting an hour and a half with no drink much less food. It also seems that if you speak Spanish then you get alot more attention and basically zero serilvice if you dont. We waited two whole days for our mini bar to be filled after calling 4 times. There alcohol is very limited and they have one type of beer. The ocean has a lot of boats day and night so the water is oily and smells like gas. It's certainly not a kid friendly hotel either as the kids club u have to be 4 yrs old and the bowling you have to be 10 yrs. We did do a day pass at nickelodean resort which was amazing and service was top notch. The resort is beautiful and definitely could be an amazing resort is the customer service was there. Out of all of that there was a little good the French and chinese restaurant was amazing and the Mexican restaurant had an extremely nice waitress that was also amazing but as far as the food being good I will say the French restaurant was the only one that had good food the rest of them was pretty bad my daughter basically ate donuts the whole time.

Aug 27, 2023Beautiful hotel, but not a chilled experience
Pros: Honestly the most impressive resort we have been to so far in terms of the restaurants and bars, and the ‘village’ with everything from coffee shops, a casino, a huge theatre, a bowling alley and an escape room. Everything is beautiful and we joked that they were actually pumping out perfume through the AC as the whole resort smelt phenomenal. The swim up rooms, if you can afford the steep price tag, looked beautiful and a slice of peace away from the main pool areas. Cons: For me, the pools were loud and crowded. The main pool by the sea was heaving and had a rowdy ‘frat house’ vibe to it with foam parties and music blasting out for hours every day that you couldn’t escape even in the furthest parts of the resort. They have an adults only area which I didn’t know about when I booked it (through TUI) but apparently being an adult isn’t enough to grant you access, you have to pay around $100 per day more to upgrade which was not possible for us. We had a sneak look though and whilst it was a nice area, it was at the front of the hotel overlooking the car park and in shade by 2pm - not worth paying $100 per day for that. There was also a ‘Preferred club’ pool which was always empty but you can’t use it unless you’ve paid for that too. Definitely not worth paying for that either as it’s literally next to a normal pool and subject to the same loud music. The beach was unfortunately covered with sargassum seaweed so after one day we never went back. I think it could be much nicer without this, but will never know. The hotel itself was beautiful, but its clientele does not match the classy, zen surroundings. Not really the right hotel for a relaxing couples’ break. Warning: My partner got food poising from the breakfast buffet and spent a very painful and upsetting 24hrs expelling every millimetre of fluid in his body.
