We had a great time at the resort everyone was so pleasant to be around the food was great and the best part was our butler Mr jenfry he was extremely helpful with all his efforts 👌 to his job in making our stay so much enjoyable hat's off to you Mr jenfry thanks again

The beach/pool area is a long ways away from the lobby. Anytime you need to go up there to eat or go to the front desk you need to search for a golf cart ride or a train that contraption that goes back and forth. The staff speaks little to no English and seem to kind of ignore the English only speaking guest. The majority of the bartenders had bad attitudes, they would role your eyes if you ordered anything other than a beer. Supper buffet was fancy, but the food wasn't very good. The 3 al a carte restaurants were good, but the staff constantly push you to buy extras that weren't included. The property itself is nice for the price. The beach is nice to, that's where we spent most our time. But the salesman on the beach are never ending trying to sell excursions and trinkets. Also there are no cocktail waiters anywhere so you always have to walk to one of the bars to get a drink. They also double booked our room so someone was trying to get in one night, thank god we had the dead bolt locked. Kind of annoying to think the rest of our trip that guy might still of had a key to our room even though he seemed like a nice guy, who knows if he actually went to the front and got the issue resolved. We couldn't really go u front and complain because of the language barrier, even though I know quite a bit of basic Spanish.

The Level
The Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort is a beautiful and big Resort. The beach and the Pool Area are amazing and very clean. Also our Room had enough Space and was clean. The whole stuff was very nice. We booked „The Level“ so we had a separate beach and Pool Area and other things on top, like a separate Restaurant and a Concierge Service. Our Concierge was Jenfry and he was amazing. Definitely a 10/10. He is a great Guy and made our stay so comfortable. Thank you so much Jenfry. We would definitely go a second time.

10/10 do not recommend
I rarely write reviews but i needed to for this, as i sit in my room thats 80 degrees F wanting to go to sleep and waiting on the maintenance person that we called 2 hours ago. I was honestly super excited to come to this hotel with my family. From the pictures it seemed modern, updated, and had so many interesting areas to take pictures and just lounge. WRONG. Food was okay, everything here is some sort of “you need to pay extra” even though it’s all inclusive you can’t use everything here so my recommendation would be to upgrade to “the level” Our room wasn’t ready until 6 pm, and when we finally got our room the house keeping was just weak, there was a half drunken bottle of rum and a dirty cup in our room. The pillows had makeup all over them, and there was a sticky substance all over the bathroom floor. We’re not ones to complain but we’re on vacation and when you upgrade you expect a certain level of cleanliness and comfort. 10/10 do not recommend.

Melia wellness staff are the best in the DR!
So where to begin... My wife and I stayed at this resort form may 13-may20. Let me start off by saying the STAFF WAS AMAZING!!! -Yojairy Hernandez (front desk) she check us in! She's patient and kind and helped us out when we had a room situation -Rafalin( manager on duty for most of our days) he was composed and helpful when we wanted to know how to get reservations. He also get yelled at by people a lot especially that lady that booked a wrong room and yelled at him to fix it. Be patient with him. -Rosailyn( she's from the spa). She's is such a nice person and laughs at all my jokes. Made our spa experience amazing! -luis ( bell hop) we asked him to show us around all the melia resorts for us to get an idea of where we can stay next time. He dedicated twenty minutes in a golf cart to do so. Also when we were locked out, he helped me get a key from quimera building. - yordalina ( bar balance) . Let me say both girls working there were too kind and always had our tea ready and our spot open. -Bleikon( front desk bell hop) . This guy is a legend. We needed masks for our boogie experience and he went out of his way to go and get it for us at a discounted price. He deserves all good things , plus he would laugh at my jokes lol -Danny( from excursions) . He booked our day trip in the boogies. He gave us the best price. Go see Danny. Don't waste time with the beach guys. Danny is honest. He also called me yendel (famous reggaeton celebrity) so he has a good sense of humor lol -Sandro( main bell hop guy) HE IS THE BEST! From the moment we got out of our bus until we left he would always check in on me. He showed us around the resort and would always check in daily to see if we needed anything. -Zully( concierge) I LOVE YOU. YOU MADE OUR TRIP THE BEST. YOU ALLOWED US TO RELAX AND PROVIDED PEACE OF MIND. OUR TRIP WAS ONLY GOOD BECAUSE OF YOU. You helped us with reservations and you answered all our questions. You even worked when you weren't get paid after hours. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. You and Sandro will always be remembered. You deserve a raise and you are an excellent representation of MELIA. We would only come back to see you and sandro. If you ever leave Melia and go somewhere else to work , message me, because that's the only hotel I'm going to! Food was good. Resort was clean but outdated. They renovated but still not five star updated. Wifi is okay not the fastest especially on the outskirts of the resort. I still give it a five star because of the people but primarily because of ZULLY AND SANDRO. Love you both!
