Hurricane Orlene
October 3, 2022
As of 10:00AM CDT, the center of Orlene is moving inland southeast of Mazatlan, approximately 1 hour away from the main tourist area.
Hurricane Orlene was located 50 miles ESE of Mazatlan with winds of 75 mph, moving NNE at 10 mph.
October 2, 2022
As of 6:00AM MDT, Hurricane Orlene was located 105 miles of Cabo Corrientes and 155 miles south of Las Marias.
Orlene gained significant strength overnight with winds now at 130 mph and slowly moving of 7 mph.
Puerto Vallarta will experience Tropical Storm conditions later this afternoon and into Monday morning. Mazatlan will experience hurricane conditions Monday evening into Tuesday morning.

As of 9:00AM MDT, Hurricane Orlene was located 210 miles SSW of Cabo Corrientes and 270 miles south of Las Marias. Orlene is moving north at 5 mph with winds of 75 mph.
Hurricane warning is in effect for the Las Islas Marias. Tropical Storm warning is in effect for the coast of mainland Mexico from Playa Perula to San Blas (this area includes Puerto Vallarta).
Hurricane watch is in effect for the coast of mainland Mexico from San Blas to Bahia Tempehuaya (this area includes Mazatlan). Tropcial Storm watch is in effect for the coast of mainland Mexico from Manzanillo to Playa Perula (this area includes Manzanillo).

Hurricane Ian
October 1, 2022
As of 11:00AM EST, the remnants of Ian is expected to produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall, with locally heavier amounts possible, across portions of the Central Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic.
September 30, 2022
As of 2:00PM EST, Ian as located 55 miles ENE of Charleston with maximum winds of 85 mph moving north at 15 mph.
The center of Ian made landfall at Georgetown, South Carolina shortly before 2:30pm.
September 29, 2022
As of 8:00PM EST, Ian regained strength to hurricane status with winds of 75 mph moving NNE at 10 mph.
Ian is approximately 215 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina and 300 miles SSW of Cape Fear, North Carolina.
Ian is forecasted to make landfall within close proximity to Charleston, South Carolina Friday, September 30 at approximately 2:00pm local time.
As of 11:00AM EST, Ian is now a Tropcial Storm with winds of 70 mph.
Ian is approximately 25 miles NNE of Cap Canaveral. While the system is exiting Florida, tropical storm conditions will continue inland until later today.
September 28, 2022
As of 2:00PM EST, Hurricane Ian made landfall around noon near the Sanibel, Captiva Island area as a category 4 hurricane with winds 155 mph. The system is currently moving NNE at 9 mph and remains a major hurricane.
The storm will gradually move inland and across central Florida. Hurricane & Tropical Storm conditions are expected for the next 24 hours throughout the state of Florida.
As of 8:00AM EST, Hurricane Ian is located 55 miles west of Naples and 60 miles southwest of Punta Gorda with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph, moving NNE at 10 mph.
The storm is expected to reach category 5 status before making landfall north of Fort Meyers later today.
Ian will remain hurricane (category 1 or 2) status as it moves across central Florida. The storm is now expected to exit Florida near the Daytona Beach area with a potential second landfall near the Georgia/South Carolina border.
"Catastrophic storm surge and wind" is expected along the southwestern coast of Florida. Low laying areas are already experiencing flooding and power outage.
September 27, 2022
As of 5:00PM EST, Hurricane Ian is located 230 miles south of Sarasota, Florida with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph, moving north at 10 mph.
The hurricane track remains the same with landfall expected near Sarasota followed by a slow movement across Florida, exiting near Jacksonville Friday morning.
As of 11:00AM EST, Hurricane Ian is located 305 miles SSW of Sarasota, Florida with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph, moving north at 10 mph.
The track of Ian has shifted slightly to the east which will bring hurricane conditions inland following landfall. The hurricane is expected to bring storm surge along much of the Florida west coast. Ian is now forcasted to make landfall as a major hurricane on Wednesday night, south of Tampa (near Sarasota) and move "slowly" across Florida exiting as a Tropical Storm near Jacksonville on Friday morning.
The entire state of Florida is under Hurricane/Tropical Storm watches and warnings.
September 26, 2022
As of 11:00PM EST, Hurricane Ian was located 105 miles ESE of the Western tip of Cuba with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph and moving NNW at 13 mph.
Ian is expected to move over western Cuba overnight and forecasted to make landfall near the Tampa Bay area on Thursday.
A Hurricane warning is in effect for the following Florida areas: Southwest & Central west coast to include Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Indian Rock Beach, and Tarpon Springs.

As of 8:00AM EST, Tropical Storm Ian was located 270 miles SSE of Kingston Jamaica.
A Hurricane warning is in effect for the Cayman Islands. A Hurricane watch is in effect for Cuba.
September 24, 2022
As of 11:00AM EST, Tropical Storm Ian was located 270 miles SSE of Kingston Jamaica.
Jamaica is expected to receive minimal tropical storm conditions overnight and on Sunday. Grand Cayman is expected to receive hurricane conditions Sunday night and on Monday.
A Hurricane watch is in effect for the Cayman Islands. A Tropical storm watch is in effect for Jamaica.

Hazardous Materials Restrictions
The FAA has issued "Hazardous Materials Restrictions" effective as of Jan. 1, 2015 - Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in your luggage or on your person. A violation can result in five years' imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials. Examples: Paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radio-pharmaceuticals. There are special exceptions for small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in your luggage and certain smoking materials carried on your person. Special restrictions and limitations for transporting Hazardous Materials and specifically Lithium Ion batteries, refer to FAA - Pack Safe to learn more. for more information.
